Identifying Acids

Introduction

Everyday we come across several items at our home. Have you ever tasted a lemon? Eaten an orange? Added vinegar to your noodles? Do you know what these are? They’re all chemical substances. But how can edibles be chemical substances? The reason we call them as chemical substances is because they are constituted of atoms and exhibit certain characteristics like oxidation, reduction, and electron transfers etc. Chemicals around us are classified into acids bases and salts. How do we know that?
